Bennettsbridge U14 feile team bow out of the national feile competition at quarter final stage.  The lads started off brilliantly on Friday afternoon against their host club Loughguile Shamrocks.  It was a great start considering their very tiring trip and they had to contend with a very strong breeze, they won by five points.  Their second game in their group was against McQuillans of Ballycastle.  Again the lads played some great stuff and ran out convincing winners by 9 points.  Their last match in the group was against Oliver Plunketts of Dublin.  The Dublin boys got off to a great start with 2 early goals but the lads never dropped their heads and got right back at them and they displayed great skill, determination and heart to go on and win the match by a point and therefore topping the group.  In the quarter final they faced Castletown of Laois.  Unfortunately the lads did not get going to their level but they kept going right to the end and with a bit of luck and a few decisions the result could have been different.  Castletown won the game by 4 points and the Bridge had to bow out at this stage but they done themselves, the club, the parish and Kilkenny proud and we could ask no more from this very committed and driven young team..
