Congratulations to Jason Cleere, Sean Morrissey and Liam Blanchfield for winning the Leinster minor Final with Kilkenny against Dublin yesterday in Croke Park. The Kilkenny team made up for their disappointing display when the sides previously met back in April and the three Bridge boys more than contributed to the great Kilkenny display yesterday. Liam Blanchfield put in a Man of the Match performance at full forward and finished with a tally of 2-3 and every time he had the ball he caused havoc in the Dublin defence and was unlucky not to bag another one or two. Sean Morrissey got himself on the scoreboard with two lovely taken points and helped set up a few scores for his team mates with breaking up play and giving some great passes. Jason Cleere was solid at centre back and he had his hands full with the Dublin centre forward who was the main Dublin threat, they had a good battle with Jason holding his own on a number of occasions, Jason gave some beautiful passes in the second half which the forwards made good use of.
The boys once again did themselves, their parents and the club proud and best of luck in the semi's. No rest for the boys as they are in action for the Bridge minors against Castlecomer in Comer on Tuesday evening at 7pm.
