Bennettsbridge Junior B team had a great win over Galmoy in Freshford securing their first bit of silverware at this level in a couple of years. The first ten minutes of the first half were close enough with the majority of Galmoys scores coming from frees but as the half went on the Bridge boys showed their bit of class with some lovely worked scores and started to pull away. The second half continued with this approach but had to put up with some foul play from the opposition which went unpunished but the scoring power of the lads was punishing the opposition on the score board. From the fifteen lads that started to the subs that were introduced everyone put in a performance which was great to see and all the players and management should be commended for this. The final score was Bennettsbridge 0-21 Galmoy 0-10, sixteen scores from play for Bennettsbridge which was most pleasing. The Bennettsbridge team was: Ben Tynan, Brian O'Neill, Shane Nolan, Leo McCarthy, Shane Byrne (0-01), Eddie Fitzgerald, Paul O'Neill, Sam Dwyer, Willie Murphy (0-09, 5f's), Kevin Brennan (capt, 0-02), Patrick O'Neill (0-01), Dylan Walsh (0-05), Jack O'Donnell, Stephen Holden, Maurice Walsh (0-01) Subs used Gary Hayes (0-02), Ronan O'Connor.
