Bennettsbrige Junior B continued their winning spell with a well earned victory over Clara in the first round of the Northern Championship in Bennettsbridge last night. The Bridge started slowly but it was point for point in the first half although Clara had only two scores from play but were denied for two goals with great saves coming from Ben Tynan on the Bridge goal. However the Bridge were fortunate to go in a point up at half time 7 points to six. Clara started the second half wery well with getting two scores in the opening minute to put them ahead in the game but the Bridge then started going through the gears and picked off points at will. They scored 9 unanswered points which came from some great team scores and from the free taking of Willie Murphy. The Bridge finished very strongly on a scoreline of 0-19 to 0-09.
