Bennettsbridge played the AIB Bank in the Ger Hoey Memorial Cup in Ringsend last Friday night. This is a traditional game played between the Junior All Ireland Champions and a team representing the bank in memory of a former bank official Ger Hoey from Clare. In a high scoring game The Bridge came out on top on a scoreline of 1-27 to 5-12. Both sides were missing a number of players but everyone who travelled got some game time. The team were then brought to AIB headquarters where they were treated to a wonderful meal and later the lads stayed

in Bewleys in Ballsbridge compliments of the bank. This was a great experience for all who attended and probably will be the last night out before the serious business of the league begins in a few weeks time.
