Ballyhale far too strong for Bennettsbridge in the second round of the Byrne Cup

The senior team played Ballyhale Shamrocks in Bennettsbridge in the second round of the Bryne cup.  Both sides were missing a number of players but when push came to shove it was the Ballyhale men who had too much scoring power and they ran out comfortable winners. The Bennettsbridge side had some bright moments during the game with some great point taking from Dylan Walsh along with brothers Nicky and Aidan Cleere.  But with Eoin and Patrick Reid and Mark Aylward scoring at will, it was a lesson for our young guns in score taking.  The final score was Bennettsbridge 2-14 Ballyhale Shamrocks 2-29.  The Bridge team was E Cleere, P O’Neill, J Moran, C Wafer, A Cleere(0-2), D Wafer, W Murphy, K Blanchfield, M Shiel, N Cleere(1-7), Pat O’Neill(1-0), D Walsh(0-3), B Tynan(0-1), K Brennan(0-1), D O’Donovan.
